  Membership Request
To join the Library simply fill in the form below. Your library ticket will be posted to you and you will need to produce it and some proof of identity (e.g. utility bill or bank statement.) when you first use it to borrow books or other items. If you are under 16 years of age you will also need to obtain the permission of a parent/guardian.
If you join the library using this form you will automatically be registered with LION and will be sent a PIN number along with your library card. Your card and the PIN number provided are required the first time you log in to LION. Upon doing this, you can make a a password for future use.

Newport Library & Information Service Agreement
1. The Library Card will be issued subject to the Council’s Bye-Laws and is not transferable. The holder is responsible for all items borrowed with its authority. It must be presented each time books or other items are borrowed from the Library.

2. Loss of the card must be reported immediately. A charge will be made for replacement.

3. Any change of name or address must be notified to the Library Service.
